Activity Update
New in 2010 the St. Louis School/Business Partnership was formed. It is a joint collaboration of the North County School Business Partnership and the South West School business Partnership. The mission is to partner in preparing students to move from school to post secondary and career options. The St. Louis School Business partnership is comprised of the members of North County SBP and the South West SBP. This joint effort will allow more students to participate in the events and businesses more time to join and participate. Each organization will continue to maintain their respective independent status.
This year's officers are:
President – Jay Boleach, Ferguson-Florissant
School District; Co-President – Karen
Coulson, Covidien; Secretary – Donna Daniels,
Hardees Food Systems; Treasurer – Patty
Gould, Pattonville School District.
Our
kick off luncheon was held on September
14 at the Danforth Bridge Park Center. This is a good time for businesses
interested in learning more about our organization
to meet other business leaders involved
and school member participants.
Other
events hosted this year include a Leadership
Academy for 7th graders on October 5. A job
skills workshop for 11th and 12th graders
will be held on February 22, 2012.
