| More than $184
million in state & county funding has been
allocated for transportation improvements from
2000-2005. Included are major improvements to
Route 367 north of Interstate 270, creating
a more efficient and safer thoroughfare that
will encourage further development in unincorporated
North St. Louis County. For more information

Massive streetscape improvements
are planned for North Lindbergh Blvd.
from Interstate 270 to Charbonier Road. The
3-mile stretch will feature new lighting,
sidewalk improvements and greenery. Similar
improvements are planned for areas surrounding
the University of Missouri-St. Louis and along
St. Charles Rock Road.

Performing Arts Center
|
The expansion at
University of Missouri-St. Louis constitutes
the 4th largest construction site in the metro
area. The University has added a new Millennium
Student Center and has just completed its spectacular,
new Performing Arts Center. The arts center
will allow the university to host Broadway-caliber
performances. Access into the campus is also
being improved dramatically. |
| St. Louis Community
College at Florissant Valley is undergoing expansion
through the creation of the Advanced Manufacturing
Center for technology training. This $4 million
dollar center will offer degree programs in
plastics engineering, advanced manufacturing
technology, drafting and design as well as other
technical-related fields. Recognizing that St.
Louis is on its way to becoming the plant bio-tech
capital of the country, the Community College
also provides a two-year program in bio-technology. |

Christian Hospital Northeast

Infrastructure
Christian
Hospital, one of the area's top healthcare
providers, is embarking on $42.5 million dollars
in improvement at its two North County locations.
Improvements include expansion of the hospital's
primary care physician base, the relocation
of behavioral health care to the northeast
campus and turning the Northwest campus into
a high-end outpatient facility and a "healthy
lifestyle" retail center.

Center is the fastest growing hospital in
the area with plans to expand its senior living
community to help meet the increasing demand
for independent living and nursing care for
the area's elderly. |
