Ferguson Citywalk will host an Adult Easter Egg Hunt on April 3rd at 7:30 p.m. at The Ferguson Sports Complex at Forestwood Park. The event is open to adults 18 and older, pre-registration is required, and the cost is $3.50 for residents and $5 for non-residents. The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a "Snack with the Easter Bunny" event on April 4th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the James J. Eagan Center (Park Rd. and Waterford Dr.). An Easter Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. Admission is FREE with a ticket, which can be picked up while they last at the Florissant Civic Center or the JFK Community Center. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) is requesting public input for their "Clean Rivers Healthy Communities" project at several Open House events during the month of April. The Northwest Chamber of Commerce is hosting their Business Showcase - Membership Meeting from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on April 9th at the Orlando Gardens Banquet Center. The Ferguson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Children's Easter Egg Hunt at January Wabash Park on April 11th. The City of Bellefontaine Neighbors' Police Chief Pruett and the entire Bellefontaine Neighbors Police Department for being the first in Missouri to be certified by the Missouri Police Chief's Charitable Foundation.

The City of Hazelwood has launched a new website to improve communication and encourage economic development. The new website, at www.hazelwoodmo.org, is more visually appealing, has several interactive functions, and includes up-to-date information about what's happening in Hazelwood. Emerson, a Ferguson-based manufacturer, is planning to buy a Norwegian company that makes measurement equipment and software for the oil and gas industry and will become part of Emerson's process management segment in April, when the offer is expected to close.
Ferguson-Florissant School District student Mary Hennerjohn of McCluer North High School received the 2009 Violet Richardson Award from Soroptimist International of North County.
Fritz's Frozen Custard has launched a new Web site at www.fritzsfrozencustard.com. Debbie Fritz, co-owner, said that Fritz's is "excited to get our site going and hope customers will find it informative, helpful, and fun." Fritz's is located at 1055 St. Catherine St. in Florissant.
Pattonville School District's Remington Traditional School was named to Missouri's list of "highest performing" schools 10 times based on their 2008 Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) test scores.
The St. Louis Community College Foundation received an $85,000 grant from AT&T, Inc. to support a high school retention program and prepare students for engineering and technology related programs at the higher education level. The grant will support 60 students from the Hazelwood School District who are participating in a program called Project Lead the Way, which is designed to increase students' interest in math, engineering, technology, and science related careers, as well as provide extra instruction to improve skills. The St. Louis County Port Authority received approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce Foreign-Trade Zone Board to expand the Foreign-Trade Zone to include new sites around and at Lambert - St. Louis International Airport.
