NCI's Board of Directors has endorsed the Ferguson-Florissant
School District's no tax rate increase bond
issue that will be on the August 3rd, 2010 ballot.
If approved by voters this is expected to raise
$25 million dollars to be used for projects that
focus on technology, energy savings and supporting
student academic achievement. We encourage you to
please get out and vote on August 3. For more information

Congratulations to NCI board member Dr.
Carolyn Pryor-Luster, on being named the new
Medical Director of SSM Maternity Services. Carolyn
is an Obstetrician & Gynecologist at Serenity
Women's Healthcare, Inc. and has been on staff
at SSM DePaul Health Center for the past 10 years.

be hosting the 10th Annual North County Gala, "Night
of Legends" event on Friday, September 3rd
from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the James J. Eagan Community
Center. This event will be held for senior citizens
in our communities. Donations would be appreciated
and will keep the cost of the tickets affordable for
everyone and also provide attendance prizes, snacks,
and decorations that will make this a memorable event

School District's five McCluer High School students
were recognized for their achievements in the St.
Louis Cappies Program. Cappie's reviewers critiqued
McCluer's theatrical plays and honored top performers

in a Play for his performance, as well as a $2000

Guyton was recently presented with the Bejamin Hooks
Award by the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement
of Colored People) Youth Council. The award honors
outstanding educators who promote diversity. Guyton
is a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Homan Middle
School. |

Trinity Catholic High School's learning consultant
Beth Lappe will be recognized with a Peabody/Logos
Leaders in Education Award. The award acknowledges
outstanding educators and mentors in public, private
