Dr. Wright is among three finalists to become commissioner

Louis International Airport for having their credit
rating boosted to A- with a stable outlook by Standard
& Poor, the nation's leading credit ranking agency.
This ratings increase comes as the city looks to sell

part of Lambert's "Airport Experience" renovation

Pattonville
School District's Transportation Department for
receiving a Total Fleet Excellence Award from the
Missouri State Highway Patrol for excelling on its
2009 school bus inspection program. The districts'
fleet of 65 buses had a 98.45 percent passing rate
during the first round of inspections and 100 percent
passed after minor repairs were made on the same day.

of Missouri-St. Louis faculty members for recently
being recognized with top honors. Richard Cook, chairman
of the Department of English at UMSL and author of
"Alfred Kazin: A Biography", recently won a Guggenheim
Fellowship Award and said he would use his fellowship
to compile an annotated selection of entries from
Kazin's journals. Robert Ricklefs, Curators' Professor
of Biology at UMSL, was elected to the National Academy
of Sciences, the only academic from Missouri on the
2009 list of new members. Election to the academy
is considered one of the highest honors for a scientist
or engineer and recognizes a career of distinguished
research. |

recently awarded a grant of $7,040 from the Boeing

new fire station and administration building. John
Caravelli, president of Citizens Bank of
Florissant, was honored for his support of Historic

new principals. Dr. Christa Warner was appointed as
the new principal of Cold Water Elementary School

both of whom are retiring.

Inc. recently unveiled a major transformation
to the James J. McDonnell USO that serves thousands
of military members and their families. The Marc Bulger

the St. Louis Rams quarterback, contributed over $150,000

Ritenour School District recently broke ground
for a new high school auditorium and classroom addition.
This new addition to Ritenour High School, expected
