Hello. Can you believe that July is almost here!
We hope that you have a very pleasant Independence
Day holiday weekend. Be sure to note in our event

4th fireworks celebrations that you can take advantage
of.

North County Incorporated is excited to
announce that it has received a $6,000 grant from
the U.S. Bank Foundation, which will be used
to advance the organization's growth and planning
initiatives. A big "THANKS" to NCI Board member
Sandra Weber, Vice-President and District Manager
with US Bank, for helping NCI secure this grant.
The Wal-Mart Foundation also made a generous
donation to North County Inc. this past month. Wal-Mart
Regional General Manager Glenda Fleming Willis presented
a check to NCI to help assist the organization's
stakeholder development and strategic planning process.

We are seeking nominations and sponsorships
for our NCI Salutes 30 Leaders in their Thirties
campaign. Be sure to nominate an up-and-coming
North County leader in their thirties who is making
a significant positive impact on our community through
their profession and/or community involvement. The
30 Leaders will be recognized at a reception on
Friday, September 24th at Norwood Hills Country
Club. The deadline for nominations is July 16, 2009.

Sunday Parkways event will be on Sunday,
July 25 from 1 - 4 p.m. This FREE event promotes
physical activity, health and social unity in a relaxed
environment without automobile traffic. Streets will
be closed to traffic between 1 and 4 p.m. and that
time will be reserved for activities such as cycling,
