Christian Hospital
Christian Hospital on the official opening of their new Medical Office Building on the Northwest HealthCare campus. Community leaders and area resident joined Christian Hospital and BJC leadership and staff for the ceremony. The expansion project at Northwest HealthCare also includes expanding the Emergency Department by adding 13 patient treatment rooms, for a total of 25 and will be completed in June 2011.

Christine Chapman, RN
Hazelwood School District’s Christine Chapman, RN, school  nurse at Russell Elementary School on being recognized by the National Association of School Nurses as a winner of the 2010 Voices of Meningitis Challenge. City of Hazelwood
The City of Hazelwood’s Aviator Business Park which used to be the former site of the Ford plant on Lindbergh Boulevard will have a new 12,000-square-foot retail strip center. Panattoni Development Company has submitted plans to build a $2.5 million strip center between Hazelwood’s Fire Station #1 and the Prairie Farms Dairy. Construction is slated to begin this spring.
The City of Overland is welcoming a new national operations center for the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The new center is still under construction and is expected to open August 1st. The center will employ 100 full-time workers and 300 part-time workers. For more information, please CLICK HERE
Also, applications are being taken for about 350 jobs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Openings include spots for biologists, engineers and architects, many paying from nearly $60,000 to $113,000. The new national operations center for the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service is set to open this summer. The government is transferring workers from around the country to work at the center, but applications are open to all qualified candidates. To read this story click here. Emerson has acquired full ownership of its Fisher Sanmar Ltd. Joint venture from Sanmar Engineering Corp. The purchase price was $135 million for the business and additional land. For more information, please CLICK HERE
