North County Incorporated (NCI) proudly recognized
several amazing leaders for their service
and dedication to making the lives of others
in our community better at our 29th Annual
Breakfast. More than 500 area leaders joined
NCI at the St. Louis Airport Marriott to celebrate
the positive impact our honorees have had
on North County. Joe Lonero was NCI's Elmer
Belsha Leadership Award recipient, chosen
for his long-term commitment, contributions
and the example he sets as his rehab work,
one building, or block at a time, is helping
turn Ferguson's CityWalk District into a thriving
destination. Our Business Development Awards
went to Ed Bennett with St. Louis Community
College at Florissant Valley and the City
of Florissant, under the Leadership of Mayor
Robert Lowery. Sister Rosalyce Mercurio, Holy
Name of Jesus Parish, the Boeing-F18 Division
under the leadership of Bob Mir, and the Florissant
Valley Jaycees received recognition for benefiting
youth, residents, civic organizations, or
others through selfless acts. NCI's Special
Recognition Awards went to McBride & Son Homes
and former Mayor William Ratchford of Woodson
Terrace for their services, as well as their
involvement with civic and charitable organizations.
We congratulate these honorees and thank them
for their contributions to our lives.
