May 9th, NCI, along with 500
civic, community, and business leaders celebrated
another year of growth and success at our
31st Annual Breakfast. Several generous businesses
and organizations made this event possible;
they included presenting sponsor, SSM DePaul
Health Center, corporate sponsors, Clayco,
Inc., Commerce Bank, Favazza & Associates,
LLC, HDR Engineering, Inc., McEagle Properties,
LLC, Negwer Materials, Inc., North County
Suburban Journals, and the University of Missouri-St.
Louis. We thank them for their support.
Announced at our breakfast
was the exciting return of the NCI Salutes
30 Leaders in Their 30s campaign. Due to the
campaign's overwhelming success this past
year, North County Inc. will once again collaborate
with North County Suburban Journals and News
20 to recognize those leaders who are making
a significant positive impact on North County
through their profession and/or community
involvement. As an organization representing
North County's current corporate, civic, and
community leadership, NCI wants to acknowledge
our community's young professionals working
and/or living in North County and encourage
them to stay involved with the community.
Consider nominating an outstanding
professional who is excelling at your company,
a committed volunteer who is using their leadership
skills for the betterment of a civic or charity
organization, a municipal employee who through
proactive involvement is helping create a
more livable community, or an entrepreneur
who has become successful and is giving back
to their service area. Help NCI identify and
recognize these young leaders making a difference
at your business/organization by nominating
them before July 18, 2008 for this honor.
Those leaders chosen will be
featured in the North County Journal's Life
section in a special article, in a special
television program on News 20, and at a recognition
luncheon given in their honor on Sept. 25,
