North St. Louis
County-North County Incorporated's
(NCI) 2005 accomplishments allow the organization
to serve the community even more in 2006.
NCI has continued its course of working
on the region's quality of life and marketing
our community as a great place to live,
work, shop, worship, learn and do business.
As an advocate for this area, NCI focuses
on issues involving education, health care,
transportation and economic development.
"One of NCI's largest 2005 accomplishments
was the Missouri Location One Economic Development
Initiative (MLOne). This internet based
tool provides our communities an opportunity
to showcase their economic development properties
to not only the local business community
but the worldwide business community," said
Howard Nimmons, past-president of NCI. "MLOne
is vitally important to all our communities
but even more so to the smaller municipalities
who have a limited economic development
budget."

said Richard Dorsey, the new President of
NCI. "Our commitment to the community remains
the same as in prior years. We are also sharpening
our focus in some areas, such as revamping
our Transportation Committee into the Transportation

in some of our older communities."
